Starting from Wednesday, April 15th, applications can be submitted for the new federal subsidy program aimed at supporting charging infrastructure in multi-family buildings. This program is intended for property management associations, individual members of such associations, private landlords, as well as small businesses. Those who wish to take advantage of this opportunity should act quickly, according to Markus Häp, the manager of Hymes Energy GmbH. For AC charging stations with a maximum charging capacity of 22 kW, the subsidy can amount to up to 2000 euros, or 70 percent of the eligible costs. The condition for receiving this maximum amount is that the installed wall box enables two-way charging. For the installation of a simple wall box, a subsidy of 1500 euros per charging station is available; wiring alone is also covered with a subsidy of 1300 euros per charging station. The subsidy can be obtained only if at least six charging points are installed or if 20 percent of the parking spaces are equipped with pre-wired connections. Additionally, the electricity used must come from renewable sources. Those who submit an application must also provide a cost estimate for the planned project. “Those who wish to benefit from funding should not waste unnecessary time,” believes Häp. Experience has shown that funding sources can be quickly exhausted when there is high demand, or they can be suspended in the short term due to political changes.Hymes EnergyIt is happy to assist its customers in developing charging infrastructure, and it has available the new Wallbox units from Alfen, which are eligible for subsidies.
